Our object is to learn more about the basic elements of technology. We have been running D&T for eight years and have enjoyed the facilities offered by the Grammar School. The approach has been flexible and the choice of materials and project is left entirely to the individual.
We have tried to obtain additional periods for U3A members who have shown interest. Unfortunately, this does not seem possible at the moment.
However, if you would like to join the group please put your details on the waiting list you will find on the group information table at the monthly meeting. The current group of members have a wide range of backgrounds and experience and are willing to help each other in their respective projects.

Design and Technology 2004 to 2012.
Eight members visit the Aylesbury Grammar School on every other Monday from 3 to 5pm.
We make what we want and are facilitated by the teaching staff who give us instructions on how to use the various machines and welding equipment. We are helped at the design stage to ensure what we wish to make is practical and will do what we want it to do. We have over the years made many items most of which are in service and will not be available at the display at the April monthly meeting. However, there are a number of items which have been photographed and are shown above.
