The Group meets on alternate Mondays to read poems on themes suggested in advance by members. This gives us the enjoyment of reading and listening and the looking up of possible poems although with some of our more difficult topics we can get a bit desperate!

After our tenth anniversary lunch last summer on that all too rare occurrence in 2008, a glorious summer’s day, we have started our second decade with poems about success (or lack of it), cutlery and crockery, bridges, fairies, the month of November, our usual Christmas theme, railway, things mechanical, churches, the colour black, wild flowers and poems written in the last 50 years. A real mixture in fact. We haven’t found anything which is completely impossible yet – maybe next year.
