The Woolstapler’s Hall in Chipping Campden dates from 1340; the market hall and the alms houses from the early 1600s; St James’ Church has some impressive tombs and is one of the best examples of a wool church in the country. In Hart’s Silversmiths you can step back in time and look round their workshop, watching the silversmiths at work in the premises they have occupied since 1902,  and in the Gallery at the Guild you can buy locally made jewellery and paintings. In the Court Barn near the church there is a museum celebrating the Arts & Crafts movement. Hungry? You can wander down the honey-coloured High Street and sample the local cafes and pubs. This town is always a delight no matter how often you visit.

Kiftsgate Court gardens.

These gardens are delightfully informal and renowned for their roses. They include a water garden, a wild garden and an orchard. Plants are available for sale and there is a small shop and a tearoom.
