The session starts with a ten-minute writing exercise and then we share our prepared pieces which have been written on a theme chosen collectively at the previous meeting.
Our group has been operating for five years and we have produced quite a lot of work. We decided to publish a small anthology of some of our favourite stories. We dedicated this book to Jackie Rickard, a member of our group, who died suddenly in June 2022. Entitled “The Bird on the Wire” we were delighted to sell every copy. We raised £375 for the Florence Nightingale Hospice.
