The next AVu3a Circular walk Monday 16th September – Aldbury
Distance: 4 miles. Phil and Dot Toler will lead the walk. Dogs are welcomed but they must be on a lead.
Where: 9.45am for 10am start. Meet at The Greyhound Inn, Stocks Road, Aldbury nr Tring, Herts HP23 5RT. Car parking available at the front of the Inn.
Level of Walk: Moderately easy walk in which you can enjoy part of the golf course and the hills without too much climbing and, there are no stiles. The wooded hillside of Ashridge (steps going uphill) and the bare slopes of Pitstone Hill are particularly impressive (may be slippery if it rains). The beech-clad Aldbury Nowers is a delight – as is the Ridgeway trail that passes through it.
