When: Monthly, Mondays 14.00-16.00

Poetry 2 started in 1998. The group meets to read and discuss poems on themes agreed beforehand by the group members. We also aim to learn a little about the poets themselves.

Apart from the pleasure of hearing the poems, we also have the pleasure of our own `researches’, looking up the possibilities on the given theme. The themes are wide ranging from the more abstract concepts like truth and success to the more mundane of crockery and vehicles for example. Rather surprisingly, the latter often present more of a problem but we have learned over the years to think very laterally!
Over the years we have become good friends as well as poetry readers.
