According to the NHS, Scottish Country Dancing (SCD) is one of the best ways to keep fit and socialise at the same time. Participants can be complete beginners or those who maybe have participated in SCD in the past, but all can easily learn the simple steps to the dances.

Each session is run in the same format in that:

  1. Each dance is demonstrated showing the individual steps and patterns.

  2. The participants practise the dance without the musical accompaniment.

  3. The participants dance with the musical accompaniment.

The group is open to both women and men, singles and couples, and all you need is a sense of fun and a pair of soft shoes for dancing.
