We are a small friendly group who have lots of enjoyment from playing Scrabble. Nearly everyone has played Scrabble at some time or other and if you enjoy word games, this one is hard to beat. It is always amazing how many new words we learn each time we play – did you know, for example that `jo’ or ‘joe’ is a Scottish word for `sweetheart’? The decisions we make are very subtle and very fascinating, should we hang on to that letter ‘u’ in case we get a `q’ even though we could use it in the word ‘bough’ on a double – word score? Should we make do with a low score to block our opponents from getting a triple-word score? The choices are endless. But the main thing is that we have fun and enjoyment.
